Ethiopian Police University Management Board Reviews 2018 E.C. Performance, Approves 2019 E.C. Plan

The Management Board of the Ethiopian Police University (EPU) met at the Sendafa Main Campus to review the University’s 2018 E.C. performance and approve its 2019 E.C. plan.

The meeting was chaired by Her Excellency Mrs. Muferihat Kamil, Chairperson of the Management Board and Minister of Labor and Skills, and attended by EPU President His Excellency Dr. Tamirat Mulugeta, Board members, and senior university leaders.

Mrs. Muferihat Kamil commended the University’s progress and called for greater innovation, stronger international partnerships, women’s empowerment, and sustainable income-generating initiatives, including programs in emerging fields such as Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.

H.E Dr. Tamirat Mulugeta highlighted major 2018 E.C. achievements, including the launch of PhD programs, development of new curricula, upgrading the Criminal Investigation Institute to an academy, establishment of the Ethiopian Police Academy at Awash, securing a distance education license, and modernization of library and registration services.

Following deliberations, the Board approved the 2019 E.C. plan and reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening EPU’s contribution to national peace, security, justice, and the rule of law.
